Step 3 – Receiving an offer

Kindergarten places are allocated in a consistent and equitable way in line with the Department of Education’s Priority of Access guidelines and CPSG local criteria.

If your registration is successful, you will receive an email from us offering your child a place.  You have fourteen days to accept or decline an offer.    Please follow the email prompts to accept, change or decline your offer.

You may also, depending on the kindergarten you have chosen, receive an email request to choose your program preferences.

You will then be asked to complete your child’s Enrolment Form.

If there are no places available at your preferred kindergarten, we will let you know of places available at other kindergartens. You may choose one of them or remain on a waiting list

You can:

  • stay on the wait list until there is a vacancy
  • accept an offer for a different group or kindergarten and remain on the wait list for a place at your preferred kindergarten or group

Registration doesn’t guarantee a kindergarten placement.

If you decide not to send your child to kindergarten in the year in which you nominated, when you receive your kindergarten offer you need to choose to defer your child’s enrolment to the following year.

You will remain on the enrolment database to be offered a kindergarten place the following year in line with CPSG’s priority of access.
