Our commitment to child safety

At Combined Preschools of Southern Grampians, we are committed to child safety.

We support all children to be safe, happy and empowered to achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations for a bright future.

We are committed to and value the participation and inclusion of all children and young people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children with disabilities, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those that are unable to live at home and our LGBTIQA+ community.

We are committed to learning and becoming more proactive in closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families and supporting them to express their culture and enjoy their cultural rights.

We are committed to critically reflecting on our practices and policies to ensure that the children entrusted to us remain at the centre of all decisions.

We have a zero tolerance for physical, verbal and emotional child abuse. This extends to racism, bullying and marginalisation.

We understand our legal and moral obligations to manage concerns and report allegations, safety and wellbeing concerns to the appropriate authorities.
